Shadowfeet*

song inspiration-shadowfeet by brooke fraser

At the end of the day, after all stress has consumed us, after all problems have overwhelmed us, after people have driven our patience out the window, it is really hard to believe in something greater. It is very difficult to say God you are great, when all our walls are closing in on us. When all our plans, hopes, and dreams fail we just want to hold on to the things we can see. Sometimes we feel like God MAY SEEM unreal and non existent just like our dreams, hopes , and plans. Those who have clinged on to the verse We Live By Faith and Not By Sight(2 corinthians 5:7) understand the difference between our wants and Gods existence. Not all our petitions get answered and when something goes completely wrong we immediately blame God because we assume hes responsible for every bad thing that happens to us. God does not want bad things to happen to you but in this natural world we are not exempted from having problems and things not going our way.  I have been learning in my walk that God only wants the best for me and everyone else. I also have learned that sometimes what we want is not right for us. Even at the end of the day when what we wanted to happen didn't happen and everything is going wrong God is going to be there holding your hand because he didn't promise heaven on earth (In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world." John 16:33), he promised that you would overcome your hard days and he would help you through it.
To trust in him is to let go, let go of depending on yourself, your time, and your way. Allowing God to take control means that anything could happen tomorrow. We have to be aware when we give our lives to Christ that we still aren't exempted from disappointments, failure, or any mishaps. Our guarantee is that God is willing to give his best for us and that no matter where we are he will be with us guiding and helping us. The best part of it all, at the end of our long journey when he calls us to be with him we will have complete victory and have peace for eternity.
God has designed a calling just for you and he is always preparing and guiding you for it with all of life's lesson.
At 20 years old, I want to begin my life knowing that theres so much ahead of me, there is still so many giants I will have to face, but with my giants will come my victories.
In this microwave age, where everything happens so fast we must remember that victories sometimes aren't seen right away.
I just feel the need to encourage those who may read this to never stop believing. Pick up that head, walk forth, or as Joyce Meyer always says "keep on keeping on". Theres no reason to stop believing if you are still breathing theres still time to declare victory!

So my advice is: Trust in God and if you really want something to happen and it fails always go back to him no matter what happens, no matter where life takes you...God is waiting with open arms!

Jeremiah29:11 "For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."

My strongest testimony is not of that which I live in the now but the one that I will give at the end of this life...
